The Access Asia team is led by Jonathan Scharf and draws from his 29 year of managing businesses in Asia and the US. Jonathan has in-depth start-up and extensive sales and operating experience in the United States, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and India. His Japanese language and Asian cross-cultural skills enables him to effectively engage at all levels within client organizations. He is equally at home in the US or Asia.
Jonathan holds a graduate degree in international economics from Temple University and an undergraduate degree in international marketing from The College of New Jersey. He has also completed business studies at Kansai University of Foreign Studies in Osaka, Japan as well as post-graduate programs at Sophia University in Tokyo, The University of Chicago and University of Michigan.

Before launching Access Asia, Jonathan held strategic sales and marketing leadership positions in world-class companies including Sumitomo Corporation, Milliken & Company and Herman Miller Inc. While at Milliken, he worked on multiple client-side consulting engagements with McKinsey & Company.
